Bellman

Job Description

The function of a Bellman at the hotel PACAI is to work closely with the Front Desk Staff, Management and other hotel departments in providing guest assistance with luggage, transportation and miscellaneous needs. Often the first and last person a guest sees while staying at the hotel is the Bellman. The care and attention that goes with this position is crucial to the success of a hotel as they convey a critical message to the guests about the property’s commitment to service.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Greet guests in a friendly manner and offer assistance with luggage
  • Operate the courtesy shuttle
  • Baggage handling for tours
  • Perform security walks throughout hotel
  • Communicate with other departments in a friendly and professional manner
  • Be aware of local attractions and restaurants and make recommendations to guests
  • Accurately communicate with other shifts regarding issues arising from day to day operations


Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Previous hospitality experience preferred
  • You must have a clean driver's license with a least two years driving experience on a full license
  • Strong communication skills in English and Russian
  • Ability to work in a multi-tasking, fast paced environment
  • Demonstrated strong customer service skills
  • Ability to work all shifts, including weekends, nights, and holidays

Front office agent

Job Description

The front agent position is a key part of the overall success of the hotel PACAI. This is the first and last person a guest comes in contact with. It is very important that the individual possesses a strong outgoing personality, with an ability to pay close attention to details. The successful candidate be able to work well with others, while demonstrating an ability to work unsupervised.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Welcome customers and guests, process visitor check-in and check-out information
  • Monitor property occupancy and manages routine operations; this involves administering hotel policies fairly and consistently, and completing related documentation in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Assign rooms and suites to guests, accommodate special requests whenever possible
  • Coordinate room status updates with the housekeeping department by notifying them of late check-outs, early check-ins and special requests
  • Take payments and post accurately to guest accounts
  • Handle incoming telephone calls and other guest communication in a discreet fashion
  • Keep your work area and space clean and orderly
  • Resolve customer issues & complaints
  • Describe details of services and amenities to guests
  • Guest recommendations about local highlights

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Previous hospitality experience preferred
  • Strong communication skills in English and Russian
  • Ability to work in a multi-tasking, fast paced environment
  • Demonstrated strong customer service skills
  • Ability to work all shifts, including weekends, nights and holidays
  • Basic knowledge of hotel operations & Computer systems, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and Opera
